Because I'm a keyboard-person, and having 20+ Firefox tabs open all the time, this neat Firefox extension was the solution to an itch that needed scratching. Meet Tab Quicksearch: an extension for quick-searching and cycling through your open tabs.
Tab Quicksearch is a search-based tab switcher, much like the "quicksearch" feature of the Emacs editor.
The extension is a little popup window which, on the press of a shortcut key, opens and presents a text input field. When you start typing a part of the title of a tab, the extension will switch to the first tab that matches your input. Pressing the shortcut key again will switch to the second match, and so on, cycling through all the matches.
The current shortcut key is defined as ALT+SPACE.
